Yi Peng (or Yee Peng)

• Originates from northern Thailand, especially Chiang Mai.

• Main feature: sky lanterns (khom loi) released into the air.

• Symbolism: letting go of misfortune and making wishes for the future.

• Celebrated in November, during the full moon of the 12th lunar month.

Loi Krathong

• Celebrated all over Thailand.

• Main feature: floating decorative baskets (krathongs) on rivers, canals, or ponds.

• Symbolism: paying respect to the water goddess and releasing negativity.

• Takes place on the same full moon night as Yi Peng, but focuses on water lanterns rather than sky lantern

• Both night night at the CAD event you will experience of Loy Krathong ,Firework display & Khomloy Yi peng

Seating Arrangement
For customers under the same order, we will arrange seats together. Seating is allocated based on the payment date, starting from the front row of each zone. If the front row is full, seats will be assigned to the next row behind it. In summary, earlier payments receive seats closer to the front.

Seat Changes
Customers may request a seat change by email. The agent will consider the request based on availability and suitability at the time the request is received.

Check-in at the Registration Area
Passports or photos on the ticket are not required at the registration area. The name on the e-ticket is less important; the QR code on the e-ticket will be scanned for check-in and exchanged for a lanyard ticket. Each QR code can be scanned only once and cannot be reused. Check-in time will be recorded.

Yes, we require 100% payment at the time of booking. Please note that all payments are non-refundable for any reason. This policy ensures that your seat is fully guaranteed.

A: Alcohol consumption and smoking are not allowed at the event.
Drones and tripods are not permitted in the venue area.

Pets, such as dogs and cats, are not allowed at the event. Some parts of the performance and Firework display involve loud noises, which may frighten or distress animals.

A: The Organiser takes this from an unexpected event that can not prevented natural disaster such as flood, earthquake, forest fire, There is no refundable in case of heavy rain that cause we can not operation lanterns releasing or will will wait until rain stop to continue the operation as possible. Government order which may be the reason the make the Yi Peng lantern festival can not  organise all ticket are non-refundable in all cases. Participants must agree to accept the risk. And 100% Non-refundable under any circumstance and who no show at the event or who attended event . Please read carefully at TERMS & CONDITIONS

Dress respectfully for Chiang Mai’s Lantern Festival by wearing modest, comfortable clothing that covers your shoulders and knees, preferably in white or light colors. For a more immersive experience, you may choose to wear traditional Thai or Lanna attire. Don’t forget to bring a light jacket or shawl for cooler evenings.

A: There are no age restrictions. Children under 8 years old can join free of charge. They will sit with their parents and will not receive an extra lantern or souvenir. Children may share the dinner meal with their parents.

Parents are fully responsible for supervising their children at all times. For safety reasons and to avoid disturbing other participants, the organizer cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise.

A: Bring a marker pen if you’d like to write your name on the lantern, a camera, and a light jacket as temperatures in November can range from 15–20°C. Lanterns from outside are not allowed.

13:00 – Transportation and Meeting Instructions

All type of ticket holders are requested to arrange their own transportation and meet us at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition & Convention Centre. Directions: Google Maps Link.

13:00 – Assemble at the meeting point
Shuttles to the venue will run every 5 minutes from 13:00 to 15:00, with the last shuttle departing at 16:00.

If you miss the last shuttle or prefer to travel to the venue on your own, please use the following information for self-transfer:

When you arrive at the venue to register, please ask our staff for a wristband to use the return shuttle service.

A: Our CAD event on both November 24th and 25th features the same activities, including lantern releases and Loi Krathong.

If you are visiting Chiang Mai on November 24–25, we recommend attending the CAD event on the night of November 24th to experience the lantern and Loy Krathong activities. Tickets are valid for one night only (single entry).

If you have free time on the night of November 25th, you can also explore the city parade on Thapae Road and Nawarat Bridge from 18:30–21:00. Please note that lantern releases are not allowed in the city; this is for viewing the parade only. The schedule activities in the city will announce a week before Loy Krathong night.
